An enchanting Kigu compact made in the 1960s. It is known as a 'Round 3" compact Rose Perspex / Lucite insert in Gilt E. T*. (engine turned*) pattern frame'. As the description states the Lucite dome is protecting the most adorable roses with green and golden foliage. The gilt engine turned design is complex & beautiful - on both the lid & the base. The lid lifts to reveal a good mirror which gives an accurate reflection. The base is the typical Kigu design we know so well & which shows their 'goldsmith's tradition' - beautiful guilloche engraving. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. This compact is in very good condition.
This vintage compact mirror measures 3" & weighs 71.6 grams.
This powder compact is suitable for pressed face powder.
