A beautiful mid-century London souvenir Kigu brand handbag mirror.
The lid is embellished with minutely engraved famous London landmarks - Royal Festival Hall, Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Statue of Anteros, St. Paul's Cathedral and the Houses of Parliament.
The landmarks and sashes are beautifully gilded, as is the whole compact mirror.
The makers lacquered the brass and so it will not tarnish or need to be cleaned.
The mirror gives a good and accurate reflection.
The catch and hinge work perfectly.
The compact is signed KIGU in two places.
Measures 7.8 cm diameter. Weighs 85.1 grams.
The black wool felt pouch is also included.
