A delightful and unusual Kigu 'Concerto' made in Kigu's heyday. The lid decoration is a gorgeous gilt stylized bird motif. The whole musical powder box is in excellent condition, including the bevelled mirror which gives a perfect reflection.
The interior all gilt jeweller's /jeweler's finish & signed 'KIGU' within the registered triangular trademark & 'Concerto'. Turn the key clockwise three times & the adorable tune plays for almost one minute. The music plays really well.The edges are scalloped & the base decorated with an engine turned design of spirals. The base is signed 'KIGU MADE IN ENGLAND'.
