Vanity Set Suitable For Max Factor And Rimmel Powder & All Lipsticks

We have run out of stock for this item.

A gorgeous unused Stratton vanity set which was made in the 1970s. The compact will accommodate Rimmel Stay Matte, Max Factor Creme Puff, Constance Carroll and Miss Beauty.  As this compact also contains the original sifter it is suitable for use with all types of loose face powder. The Lipview (lipstick holder and mirror) will hold all widths of lipstick tubes as the brass is malleable. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find unused vanity sets and so we are delighted to have this set in the collection.

Both the 'Convertible' compact and the 'Lipview' have golden etched enamel lids adorned with Rosa canina, commonly known as the dog rose. The set is in superb condition. The highly polished brass on both items was coated with a layer of lacquer at the point of manufacture. This means that the set will retain its gleaming appearance and never need to be cleaned. Both items are signed 'Stratton MADE IN ENGLAND' and are fitted with excellent clear mirrors. The pristine interior of the compact mirror contains the original silk topped puff, luxurious velour edged sifter, information leaflet, inspection docket and padded paper insert. The compact measures 3" and weighs 91.4 grams. The 'Lipview' measures almost 2 1/2" and weighs 21.5 grams.

The original Stratton case is also in very good condition. The base has custom made recesses covered with white satin. The lid is acetate which is signed 'Stratton'.
