This Stratton powder compact is suitable for use with loose and pressed / solid face powder or as a handbag mirror.
An exceptionally beautiful unused cased enamel Stratton 'Slim-Convertible' powder compact and matching enamel lipstick holder. These accessories have the most enchanting white roses & a background of glorious cobalt blue enamel. All the original accessories are included. Both the compact and lipstick are in superb condition NOS (new old stock) and the original case is very beautiful too. They are testimony to the high standards that ensured the Stratton brand was the most successful British brand of powder compacts. The case is superb - the lid, base, all sides and back are decorated in beautiful rich turquoise & pink thread on a black background. The hinges and clasp are brass & work perfectly. On opening the case each one of the sides is decorated with the same beautiful embroidered material. The internal hinge is covered with cream velour. The inner lid is lined with cream silk which is signed 'Stratton'. A lined tray with recesses for the compact and lipstick holder is tilted up to display them.
Included with this excellent compact is the original felt lined pouch, silk and fabric puff, velour edged sifter, instruction leaflet, inspection docket. They are all in excellent unused condition.
Included with the lipstick holder is the original instruction leaflet in the shape of a lipstick and the original felt lined pouch.
The Stratton 'Slim Convertible' powder compact measures 3 1/4" and weighs 102.7 grams.
The Stratton lipstick holder measures just over 2" and weighs 10.6 grams.
