This vintage compact is suitable for use with modern loose & pressed face powder or as a handbag mirror. It is a high quality enamel 1960s Stratton 'Convertible' powder compact in superb NOS (new old stock) condition. The delightful lid has the most beautiful bouquet of delicate pink roses with green & grey foliage. There isn't any loss or fading. An enchanting mid-century collectible which comes with all the original accessories - the presentation box, felt pouch, padded paper insert, inspection docket, instruction leaflets, sifter edged with pink velour & luxury puff topped with silk & signed 'Stratton MADE IN ENGLAND'. All the accessories are in excellent condition too. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The mirror is excellent & gives a clear accurate reflection. The base is decorated with the famous all over star design & signed 'Stratton MADE IN ENGLAND'. This accessory is gleaming and clean. It will never need to be cleaned as it was coated at the point of manufacture with a layer of lacquer which prevents the brass from tarnishing. The images really do not do this lovely compact justice. Measures 3 inches diameter. Weighs 94.4 grams.
