Stunning 1933-1934 Art Deco World's Fair Chicago Compact Mirror
A stunning black enamel and gleaming chrome compact mirror which was made to commemorate the World's Fair which took place in Chicago from 1933-1934.
The lid and base are decorated with glossy black enamel.
The lid is also embellished with iconic buildings fashioned from shiny chrome.
The Federal Building, Hall of Science and the Travel And Transport Building are depicted in low relief.
The original puff and sifter are present, as is an immaculate velvet drawstring pouch.
The mirror gives a good and accurate reflection.
The catch and hinge work perfectly.
There are age related marks and some haze on the mirror in certain lighting conditions but nothing which detracts.
