The scene depicts the Roman goddess of the dawn driving her chariot, which is pulled by two magnificent horses who are rearing. Aurora wears flowing classical robes and a half moon diadem in her hair. This lovely collectible will not tarnish or need to be cleaned, as the maker applied a coat of lacquer in the final stages of the its crafting. The whole vanity gleams and comes with the original accessories - presentation box, pouch, puff, sifter and protective powder well insert. The mirror gives an excellent clear reflection. The catches and hinges work perfectly. The base is decorated with stars and signed Stratton MADE IN ENGLAND. Measures 3 1/4 inches diameter and weighs 109.5 grams. Super unused condition!
