This compact is suitable for use with modern loose and pressed / solid face powder or as a handbag mirror. A rare and very beautiful enamel Stratton Queen Convertible compact in very good condition. This lid decoration is scarce and it is such an enchanting scene. The background cream enamel is adorned with hand painted cornflowers, foxgloves and poppies. There isn't any enamel loss / loss of design. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. The original presentation box, pouch, puff and sifter are in place. The mirror gives a good and accurate reflection. The powder well rim is stamped PAT. 764125. The paper insert in the powder well is pristine. The base of the compact is decorated with vertical lines and tiny chevrons. The base is signed "Stratton England. Measures 3 inches diameter. Weighs 107.2 grams.
