A rare enamel Stratton " Queen Convertble " powder compact in excellent condition. This lid decoration is rare to find and to date we have only seen this compact. The lid is enchanting. The background cream enamel is adorned with hand painted cornflowers, foxgloves and poppies. There isn't any enamel loss / loss of design and the artistry is superb. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. The original puff and sifter are in place. The mirror has a frosted glass border and it gives a clear reflection. The powder well rim is stamped "PAT. 764125". The paper insert in the powder well is pristine. The base of the compact is decorated with vertical lines and tiny chevrons. The base is signed "Stratton England". This compact also comes with a pristine velvet pouch to protect it.
This rare Stratton compact measures 3 " & weighs 107.2 grams.
