Such fun & so hard to find. The compact is made to look like the new moon with a star just next to it. A couple of tiny dings on the lid which do not spoil the enjoyment of such a scarce compact. The new moon & star are smooth gold tone & the back ground is brushed gold tone. It is exceptionally well made & high quality brass has been used. It is featured in Laura M Mueller's book " Collector's Encyclopedia of Compacts Carryalls & Face Powder Boxes ". The compact is in quite good condition with a good mirror. Just delightful ! All clasps & hinges work well. The base is signed " Dorothy Gray ".
