A rare Wand Art glitter ballet compact made in the 1940s. The charming lid has an embossed gilt border & set atop a fabric covered lid are two ballet dancers - their costumes adorned with glitter. The stylized dancers are typical of Wand Art with elegant contoured legs, arms & hands unique to this brand. The glitter is stable & the whole design excellent with no loss. The lid lifts to reveal an excellent mirror & a gleaming interior - deep golden patina. The original puff is present & the signature 'Wand Art' is just about visible. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The base is satinized. A drawstring pouch is included to protect this compact
