A rare opportunity to purchase a magnificent unused Kigu Flapjack, as seen in the 1952 Kigu catalogue. This compact is from the Margaret Flapjack Series (135). It is presented with the original felt pouch, puff and sifter. This splendid vanity is very large. It measures almost 4 inches diameter.
The makers describe this compact as -
The makers lacquered this compact and so it will never tarnish or need to be cleaned. The mirror gives a good and accurate reflection. There are some slight marks on the mirror but nothing which detracts from the appeal of this vanity. The inner lid is embellished with ornate engravings and the Kigu trademark. The underside of the inner lid is satinized. The catches and hinges work perfectly. Measures almost 4 inches diameter. Weighs 158.1 grams.
The whole item is in excellent unused condition. Please excuse the reflections on the exterior case, which is highly reflective.
Please note the large size of this rare collectible. If you are looking for a compact mirror for daily use we have many smaller compacts.
