Black enamel is difficult to photograph as it is highly reflective and so we have included a dull over head shot - image two. The enamel is dense lustrous black & the whole compact is a very stylish mid-century vanity. The exterior case is silver plated which provides a delightful contrast with the gilt interior. On images one and two the silver plated exterior is reflecting the room & as you can see on the other images this silver plated exterior is in very good condition. The interior all gilt jeweller's / jeweler's finish & signed 'KIGU' within the registered triangular trademark & the word 'Minuette' is inscribed near to the winding key. Turn the key clockwise & the adorable tune plays really well. The little musical powder box comes with the original accessories - pouch (Dorothy Bag), signed puff & sifter. The whole musical powder box is in excellent condition, including the beveled mirror which gives a good & accurate reflection. The edges are scalloped & the base is signed 'KIGU MADE IN ENGLAND'. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. Measures 31/4" & weighs 132.1 grams.
