Magnificent Solid Gold Edwardian Keepsake Locket Necklace 1910
An exceptionally fine antique hallmarked shield shaped keepsake locket suspended from an elegant cable chain necklace.
More fabulous hallmarked antique gold lockets.
Both sides of the locket are embellished with florid acanthus leaves and forget-me-not flowers. A heart shaped cartouche completes the deeply symbolic imagery. Acanthus leaves symbolise longevity. Forget-me-not flowers represent true love and respect. This piece was assayed* (tested for purity*) at Birmingham in 1910. The hinge and catch hinges work perfectly. Super condition!
