This Kigu 'Karette' is in super condition. The whole item is shiny and clean. This slimline purse mirror is gorgeous! It will never tarnish or need to be cleaned as it was lacquered by the maker. The lid, interior and base are decorated with stylish engine turned designs. The inner lid bears the Kigu registered trademark in an oval cartouche which is surrounded by honeycomb guilloche engraving. The mirror bezel is inscribed "KARETTE". The original pristine sifter and pouch are included. The mirror gives a good and accurate reflection. This model does not often come up for sale often. The 'Karette' was described by the Kigu Ltd. as - ' 2 1/2" Square "Karette" compact with "remote control" inner lid opening. Gilt E.T. (engine turned) engraved design.' The luxurious gilt interior features an automatic opening lid. A push button which is the distinguishing feature of the 'Karette' opens the powder well lid. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. Measures 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" and weighs 74.7 grams.
