a superb mid-century sterling silver cigarette case assayed at London in 1956. This case is a high quality accessory. The lid, base and sides have a matching engine turned design of tiny diamond shapes. The shoulders are sloped. Both the lid and base are fully hallmarked. The case is also signed " ASPREY LONDON ". The vermeil interior still a beautiful deep rich gold. The original elastic strap in place. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. The case has a concealed hinge and a sliding lock which operates perfectly every time. The case is absolutely sound and does not have any dings, dints or damage. The gold plated interior has carries some provenance with the inscription " Bruce from Joan 3.2.68 ". The original felt lined pouch comes with this case.
This luxury cigarette case measures 12.5 cm x 8.5 cm and weighs 173.6 grams.
