Kigu Concerto musical powder box

A delightful and pretty Kigu 'Concerto' made in the 1960s. The satinized teal enamel lid has silver tone leaf motifs. The images make the enamel look royal blue but it is teal. The whole musical powder box is in good condition, including the bevelled mirror which gives a perfect reflection. The interior all gilt jeweller's /jeweler's finish & signed 'KIGU' within the registered triangular trademark & 'Concerto'. Turn the key clockwise three times & the adorable tune plays very well. The tune it plays is Lara's Theme (Somewhere My Love) the theme from Dr Zhivago (1965). The original pouch & sifter is in place. Just adorable! The edges are scalloped & the base decorated with an engine turned design of spirals. The base is signed 'KIGU MADE IN ENGLAND'.

Measures 3 1/4" & weighs 115.8 grams.
