Japanese Souvenir Mount Fuji Shinto Shrine Boxed Compact Mirror

A wonderful Japanese souvenir compact mirror which is presented in the original case. 

The lid is adorned with hand carved mother of pearl fashioned into the most famous Japanese scenery - Mount Fuji in the background, a five story Shinto shrine in the foreground and Lake Kawaguchi (Kawaguchiko) on the left hand side, including sail boats. 

The gilt border surrounding the mother of pearl decoration is engraved with scrolls.

All clasps and hinges work perfectly.

The mirror gives a good and accurate reflection. 

The compact is presented with the original pouch.

Measures 7.3 cm diameter. Weighs 70.1 grams.

Total weight 143.9 grams.
