Boxed Evans Carryall vintage minaudière evening bags
This is such a lucky find. A 1940s Evans 'SUNBURST' Standard Carryall. Standard to distinguish it from the much smaller 'Petite' Carryalls. In the most gorgeous condition with the original box, pouch, comb & puff. This is a double access carryall with the first compartment containing the original lipstick, puff & lucite comb (no 'teeth' missing). The original fittings of coin holder & powder well are in super condition too. Bar the lipstick being used up this has been kept exactly as a collector would & it is gorgeous - HOLLYWOOD GLAMOUR! All clasps & hinges work perfectly.The mirror gives a perfect reflection. The puff is excellent. Both compartments are decorated with the traditional 'Basket Weave'- glorious & golden-just gleaming design & signed Evans.
The second compartment shown on image four is for cigarettes & paper money. The broad mesh strap secure & sound & the whole item in superb condition. The original box is still robust although a little scruffy but it has done the job of protecting this beauty. The pouch is excellent - a pretty pale yellow felt pouch without any damage at all.Ideal for collectors or for that special evening where Hollywood glamour is the theme.
