An ornate and very beautiful hallmarked 9ct yellow gold oval locket with an elegant 18 inch necklace. This wonderful antique is adorned with forget-me-nots on the outer edges of both sides. The front features a heart cartouche engraved in the most elegant script. The letters are so ornate they form a delightful design. The initials look like E R. Ivy leaves and scrollwork complete the composition perfectly. The locket is steeped in symbolism. The forget-me-not symbolises everlasting love. Ivy symbolises fidelity, friendship and eternity. The original photographs, frames and photo protectors are in place.
