Crinoline Lady Gwenda Powder Jar Tin / 10th Wedding Anniversary Gifts
The materials in this enchanting mid-century collectible make it a suitable tin (10th) wedding anniversary gift. Made in the 1940s this signed Gwenda tin foil, tin & glass powder jar is in superb condition. The foil lid is absolutely delightful. There are some reflections from the studio lights and so we have included a dull over head shot (image two). The most beautiful 'crinoline lady' stood on a gravel drive way. She is wearing a sumptuous off the shoulder cream gown. In her hand she is holding a wicker basket full of silver flowers with green foliage. Her hat is pale green & two red flowers complete this ensemble. The background foil is silver. The silhouette of the tree & immaculately manicured garden such a contrast to the green grass & foliage. Tiny silver & red flowers complete this picturesque scene. The lid surround is made from tin & the underside is coated with a protective layer of enamel. It is signed 'Gwenda'. The glass powder jar is in lovely condition and without damage. The lid fits neatly on to it. The whole item is top notch and we are delighted to have this in our collection.
