This gilt Melissa branded compact mirror is an ideal handbag mirror. The compact is fan shaped. The lid is engraved with ornate scrolls and floral motifs. The interior is fitted with a large clear oval mirror. The mirror bezel is signed 'Melissa MADE IN ENGLAND'. Each side of the inner lid is decorated with fans. The lid and base are engraved in the fashion of a clam-shell. Measures 4 1/4" and weighs 90.6 grams.
The compact is suitable for use with loose and compressed face powder. All standard size powder pans measuring 67 mm diameter will fit.
