A supremely stylish authentic Art Deco cigarette case made by the prestigious maker Walker & Hall.
This luxury accessory is fully hallmarked and was assayed at Sheffield in 1924. The case has complex guilloche designs on all sides. The lid and base have eye-catching Art Deco motifs. This case is so beautiful it would make an ideal silver wedding gift for either ladies or gentlemen.
There aren't any dings or damage. Both the lid and base are fully hallmarked. The lid and base do not have any inscriptions. The interior does have some provenance in the form of an inscription "RMBJ 1937 Flyde Group 1935". As you would expect all clasps and hinges work perfectly. Push the thumb catch to activate a spring loaded catch and the case glides open to reveal a gilded interior. The gold elastic strap is still in place - in good condition - nice & tight. This case will comfortably house business cards measuring 8.2 cm or less.
The sterling silver case measures 9 cm x 8.8 cm and weighs 116.9 grams.
