Antique Solid Gold Chester Assayed Keepsake Locket 1913 With 18 Inch Necklace
A beautiful deep rich rose fully hallmarked gold locket presented on an elegant 18 inch necklace.
More stunning fully hallmarked antique gold lockets.
Both sides are ornamented with forget-me-not flower wreaths which symbolise true love and devotion. The hinge and catch work perfectly. This antique was assayed* (tested for gold purity*) at Chester in 1913.
The locket is much more shiny than the images show. The image on the mannequin gives an idea of the glorious golden sheen, except the locket is more of a deep rich rose gold (like copper).
The maker sealed each side of the interior case for added strength. On top of the seals are the original card inserts, purple silk backing fabric and clear portrait protectors and so photographs can be attached easily.
