This unused compact was made in the 1950s. The lid decoration is like golden satin & it has a gilt motif set atop. It is suitable for use with pressed face powder. Powder pans measuring between 60 - 67 mm diameter will fit perfectly. This item is in superb condition. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. The mirror is excellent and gives a clear reflection. The mirror bezel is signed 'STRATTON MADE IN ENGLAND'. The powder well is protected by a pristine coat of white enamel. The base is decorated with smooth gold tone stars. Measures 3" and weighs 96.6 grams.
