1950s Stratton Ballet Themed Musical Powder Box
An enchanting mid-century enamel Stratton 'Musica' depicting a scene from Swan Lake. The lid decoration shows Dame Beryl Gray as Odette and also John Field, as Prince Sigfried. The lid is gorgeous and there isn't any fading or losses. This musical powder box was lacquered during the manufacturing process and so it will not tarnish or need to be cleaned. The tune is The Anniversary Song and it plays very well. Such a beautiful and romantic gift. The pouch, puff and sifter are present. The music box is in excellent condition. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. The bevelled mirror gives a clear and accurate reflection. Measures 3 1/4" x 2 3/4" and weighs 169.4 grams.
