An absolutely stunning 1950s makeup compact! This gorgeous unused Stratton 'Princess' loose powder compact is silver plated throughout and in superb condition. The lid is mesmerising. More makeup compacts.

Silver circles radiate from the middle and just like guilloche enamel they catch the light and the pattern appears to change. The original box, delightful semi-rigid embroidered pouch, puff and sifter are exactly as they were back in the day. The mirror stickers are in place and one of them shows the 1950s price '52/6'. This price is also hand written on the base of the box. The item code is stamped on the box - '529/904'. The catches and hinges work perfectly. The mirror gives a good clear reflection. The bevelled edge of the mirror is frosted glass. The inner lid is signed 'Stratton'. Circular bands of silver stars grace the base. Measures 3" and weighs 82.3 grams.
