In the 1950s foil was made from tin and so this mid-century glitter foil and Lucite compact mirror would make an ideal 10th wedding anniversary gift or a film prop. This adorable Mascot vintage handbag mirror has a Lucite dome which houses a beautiful reverse carved Lucite floral display. The flowers depicted are deep crimson roses with two tone green foliage. The surrounding brass on the lid has a deep golden patina and a complex guilloche engraved design. The lid lifts to reveal a good mirror which gives an accurate reflection. The powder well contains the original puff which is signed 'Mascot ASB'. The base has an attractive engine turned design. This charming vanity is in excellent condition. The original beige felt pouch is included in this sale.
