Antique Solid Gold Locket Necklace Inscription "To Sarah From Will"
A magnificent fully hallmarked French antique gold locket.
This splendid solid gold locket was imported into London and assayed* (tested for gold purity*) at London Assay Office in 1915.
The anterior surface is ornamented with ferns, daisy form flowers and a shield cartouche.
Ferns symbolise sincerity.
Daisies are often associated with innocence, purity and or new beginnings.
Shields symbolise the desire to protect.
The posterior surface is fitted with the original glass cover which offers protection to anything housed in the deep bodied casing.

Gold purity marks 9 & .375 denoting 9 carat gold.

This locket is hallmarked in multiple areas.
This high quality antique is fitted with a hinged back plate which is lined with pristine pale green watered silk.
