A splendid fully hallmarked Italian silver loose powder compact crafted in the 1950s. This dazzling beauty is embellished with superb bright-cut engraving on every exterior surface. This piece has a mesmerising beauty. The lid and base are engraved with ornate flower baskets and the most elaborate scrollwork. The interior case is subtly gilded. The gilded mirror bezel is hallmarked with the maker's mark, grade of silver (.800) and country of origin ITALY. The bevelled mirror gives a good and accurate reflection. The hinge and catch work perfectly. The original puff and sifter are present. An immaculate pouch is included. Measures 6.7 cm x 6.4 cm and weighs 60.6 grams. The whole piece is in excellent condition.
