A high quality handbag, handmade in Belgium in the 1950s. This luxurious accessory has a black glass beaded exterior with a stunning decorative gilt clasp. The clasp is set with seven large and dazzling rhinestones. Surrounding the rhinestones are tiny gilt and black glass beads in a twisted rope effect which matches the detail on the top of the bag perfectly - see image one. All the beads and rhinestones are in place and the bag is in superb condition. All clasps and hinges work perfectly.
The black silk lining is excellent. It is beautifully clean and without damage. The original label is still in place and reads as follows "Made in Belgium by hand WALBORG".

This beaded bag measures 7 3/4" x almost 6" from the clasp to the bottom. The chain handle has a 5 1/4" drop.
