This super handbag mirror was made in the 1950s.
The lid is decorated with an engine turned design which resembles a stylized flower.
The centre of this lovely vanity is embellished with embossed gilded floral motifs and set with a twinkling marcasite (pyrite) encrusted ring.
The interior case contains a mirror which gives a good and accurate reflection.
The inner lid is signed Le Rage MADE IN ENGLAND.
The lid, base and interior are decorated with complex and beautiful guilloche engravings.
The whole item gleams.
This piece was lacquered during its crafting and so it will not tarnish or need to be cleaned.
The original sifter and signed puff are included, as well as a pouch.
Very good condition.
Measures slightly over 3 1/2 inches diameter. Weighs 116.3 grams.
