This vintage compact is suitable for use with modern loose face powder or as a handbag mirror.
A beautiful 1950s Stratton 'Rondette' powder compact in very good condition. The lid is engraved with a highly stylized floral motif. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The inner lid is decorated with the 'Compact-in-Hand' logo which shows this compact is fitted with an automatic opening lid - just tilt the mirror back to activate it & the inner lid will open. The mirror is very good & gives a clear accurate reflection. The original sifter is in place which means this compact may still be used with loose face powder. The base is decorated with the famous all over star Stratton design.
This vintage compact mirror measures almost 2 3/4" & weighs 78 grams.
