This is a superb 1950s Stratton "Princess" powder compact in the finest condition.
It has a flawless enamel & foil lid with no enamel loss what-so-ever. The most beautiful scene showing R M S Mauretania. This high quality Stratton compact has beautiful engravings on the indented edges. Lift the lid to see a perfect mirror with the original mirror sticker in place. The golden mirror bezel is marked "MADE IN ENGLAND". The beautiful inner lid is decorated with the "Compact-in-Hand" logo - Stratton's self-opening inner lid - which works each time the mirror is tilted backwards. It comes with the luxurious original pouch & also the Stratton box.The compact is signed "Stratton". The original sifter & signed Stratton puff are present & they too are excellent. The base is decorated with Stratton's famous all over star design. A little treasure that will not disappoint. In a word - superb!
