.....This is the only 'Clipped Round 1938' we have ever had in our collection. Considering that the compact is 76 years old it is in very good condition. The lid & base have very attractive salmon pink enamel. The lid is also decorated with an enamel panda. There are a few signs of wear to the enamel. The interior has a gilt satinized finish. The rim of the powder well is signed 'Stratton'. The mirror gives an accurate reflection - a few age spots on the mirror. The original sifter is in place. This rare compact comes with a smart felt pouch to protect it. Measures 76 mm wide & weighs 75.6 grams.
