Gorgeous Unused 1950s Boxed Kigu Compact With Original Accessories
A gorgeous unused 1950s Kigu compact which is presented in the original box with all the original accessories. This accessory was crafted by one of the premier British makers of vanities.
The maker described this lid decoration as:-
Lace pattern in relief, highly polished gilt and satin finish.
The whole compact is crafted from high quality brass which is protected by a coat of transparent enamel. No cleaning will be required to keep this mid-century accessory looking this splendid. This item is gleaming clean and delightful. The interior case contains a good mirror which gives an accurate reflection. The inner lid and base are decorated with elaborate guilloche engraving. The compact is stamped with the Kigu registered trademark. The pristine brown felt pouch, signed pink fabric puff and sifter are present. All catches and hinges work perfectly. Measures 7.2 cm diameter. Weighs 82.4 grams.
