This striking mid-century vanity has a gilt lid decorated with leaves and scroll like branches. The background has a subtle textured appearance, all gilt and like the day it was made. This Stratton 'Rondette' compact comes with the original features - box, felt pouch, luxurious velour edged sifter and pale pink puff. What a beauty! The interior case contains a mirrored lid which gives an excellent clear reflection. The inner lid is signed 'Stratton' underneath the 'Compact-in-Hand' logo. The powder well is coated with the original pristine white enamel. The underside of the inner lid is gilt and satinized. The base is decorated with circular bands of golden stars. Please excuse the reflections from the studio lights on the base. Measures 2 3/4" and weighs 79.6 grams.
