This vintage powder compact is suitable for modern pressed / solid face powder, as are the vast majority of the compacts we have in stock. Please feel free to ask any questions. This is such an attractive vintage compact. The lid and base are decorated with faux snake skin. The black lid and base contrast well with the deep golden patina of the brass that this mid-century pocket mirror is made from. The whole item is in very good condition. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The powder well is fitted with the original white enamel coated insert. There isn't any enamel loss and the compact does not look like it has been used with powder. The mirror is excellent & it gives an accurate reflection. Images one and two show the lid.
