Vintage Stratton Compact Lipstick Set Flamingo Bird Scene 1960s
A scarce and beautiful Stratton compact mirror and lipstick tube set. This 1960s vanity set comes with the original presentation box, luxury puff, velour edged sifter, both black felt pouches, instruction leaflets and padded cushion insert. The cobalt blue enamel is embellished with enchanting flamingos. Both items are in good condition. The mirror gives a good and accurate reflection. The base of the compact is signed STRATTON MADE IN ENGLAND.
Back in the day these sets were very expensive and given on special occasions like a young lady's twenty first birthday. This is reflected in the high quality materials the makers used.
Both items are gleaming clean. There aren't any traces of face powder or lipstick residue.
The Stratton Convertible powder compact measures 3 inches diameter and weighs 94.4 grams.

There is a slight pin head area on the enamel of the compact which is a little bit thicker than the rest of the cobalt blue enamel.
