A small fully hallmarked sterling silver compact mirror with locket compartment which was imported into Birmingham in 1911. From time to time film prop departments contact us for stock. This curious little vanity may be of interest.
We would say that this item is not suitable as a gift because it has multiple small dings on both sides.
The lid and base are decorated with bold engine turned linear designs. The hanging ring has a fob style catch which activates a spring loaded mechanism ensuring the case glides open once activated. The interior case contains a mirror which gives quite a good reflection and a compartment for photograph. The original frame and glass are present. Measures 6.5 cm (including the bale) x 3.5 cm. Weighs 26.3 grams.
