Such a gorgeous dainty slimline solid silver Kigu powder compact!
This wonderful unused vintage compact mirror is fully hallmarked sterling silver.
This stylish vanity was assayed* (tested for silver purity*) at London Assay Office in 1966.
The lid features a diamond cut star motif which twinkles in the light.
The lid was satinized by the makers and so it has the appearance of silver satin.
The compact has an even clear silver appearance.
The dark areas are merely light reflecting on the satinized lid.
The whole compact was also lacquered by Kigu Ltd. and so it will not tarnish or require cleaning.
The inner lid and mirror frame are signed KIGU.
The compact is hallmarked in multiple places which is typical for the Kigu brand sterling range.
The original powder puff, washable sifter, instruction leaflet and pouch are included.
The instruction leaflet reads:
This KIGU compact has been fitted with our "KIGU PLUS" (reg.)
sifter which is washable, hygenic (sic) and of lasting quality.
