A delightful & slender unused 1950s era Kigu brand compact mirror which ideal for all loose foundation powder.

The whole compact is protected with the most gorgeous gilt finish which the makers referred to as the jeweller's all gilt finish. Both the lid and base are embellished with an engine turned design of tiny diamond shapes. In the middle of the lid is an oblong cartouche.
The inner lid is stamped with the Kigu registered trademark. The mirror is framed by a gilt bezel which matches the golden finish on the rest of the case. The mirror gives a good clear reflection. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. The original grey felt pouch and sifter are present. Measures 7.8 cm x 6 cm. Weighs 94.2 grams.
