A magnificent gilded vintage Kigu brand powder compact!
The lid is embellished with a design that the maker's described as:
draft board design of bright and matt squares

The gilded brass is lacquered and so it will not tarnish or need to be cleaned.
The original sifter is present. The mirror gives a good and accurate reflection. The catches and hinges work perfectly. The inner lid is signed Kigu.
An immaculate pouch is included.
Measures 3 x 3 inches. Weighs 121.4 grams.
There are some slight age related marks on the mirror but nothing which detracts.
This compact is suitable for use as a handbag mirror, as a cherished display collectible and also with all loose foundation.
