Vintage Pygmalion Powder Compact Ring O Bells Lid Decoration 1950s
An adorable vintage Pygmalion compact mirror. The pictorial inlay is embellished with a building bearing a wall sign which reads Ring O Bells. The lid decoration is in excellent condition because it is protected by the original clear cover. The whole compact is decorated with a gilt finish which will protect it from tarnishing. The original powder well insert, signed puff and sifter are present. The base is decorated with guilloche engraving. Measures 7.5 cm diameter. Weighs 55.6 grams.
The compact is in good condition. There aren't any traces of face powder on the compact, puff or sifter. An immaculate pouch is included.
This accessory is ideal as a display collectible because although it latches and opens easily, if you push the lid down too hard it is tricky to open again.
