Solid Gold Guilloche Engraved Locket On 18 Inch 9 Carat Necklace
A splendid WWI era locket embellished with beautiful guilloche engravings to both exterior surfaces which gleam in the light. The locket is in excellent condition and does not look like it has been used. The posterior surface bears the maker's mark of Henry Matthews and full sets of hallmarks. The bale is also hallmarked. This antique locket was assayed* (tested for gold purity*) at Birmingham Assay Office in 1915. The portrait protectors and frames are present.
This locket is ideal to wear as a keepsake or double photo locket or simply as a pendant necklace.
