Vintage Stratton Powder Compact With Butterfly Decoration 1950s
A beautiful Stratton powder compact which was crafted by the premier British maker in the 1950s. The lid is lustrous cobalt blue enamel adorned with a gorgeous butterfly, flowers & foliage. The reputation for this brand is well deserved as you can see from the images. The colours are as vibrant as they were back in the day.
The compact is presented with the original presentation box, luxury puff, instruction leaflets, sifter and pouch. All the brass was lacquered during the making and so this vanity will retain its beauty without cleaning and it will never tarnish. The catches and hinges work perfectly. The mirror gives a clear and accurate reflection. The mirror bezel is signed STRATTON MADE IN ENGLAND. The base has a textured engine turned design.
