Scarce Stratton Butterfly Powder Compact Ceramic Lid 1960s For Loose And Pressed Foundation
A scarce and very beautiful Stratton 10-Sided Convertible powder compact. The lid is fitted with a hand painted ceramic plaque depicting a highly stylized butterfly surrounded by abstract floral motifs, all of which are embellished with gilt accents. The compact is in very good condition. The original box, pouch, puff and sifter are present. They are clean and free from any powder residue, as is the compact. The mirror bezel is signed STRATTON MADE IN ENGLAND PAT. PENDING. The mirror gives a good clear reflection. The hinges and catches work perfectly. Measures 3 1/4 inches diameter. Weighs 107.6 grams.
This Stratton 10 Sided-Convertible compact is suitable as a handbag mirror and also for use with all loose foundation and pressed foundation pans measuring 59-67 mm diameter.
