Such a romantic talisman! A splendid fully hallmarked antique 9 carat yellow gold heart shaped locket which was imported into Glasgow in 1911. Both sides are equally ornate with finely engraved motifs and ornate scrollwork which frame elegant cartouches. This piece is in superb condition. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. The original frames and one of the portrait protectors are present. This locket is paired with an ornate eighteen inch necklace so that it may be worn immediately. The hallmarks are clear and easy to read - sponsor's (importer) hallmark J.L, 375 (9 carat purity mark), Glasgow import hallmark and the date letter o (1911). A smart racing green jewellery case with gilt accents and luxury gift box are included with this antique.
