Copper Coloured 1940s Vintage Wrist Strap Carryall / Minaudiere Film Prop
A lovely satinised copper coloured 1940s wrist strap carryall. The lid of this minaudiere is made up of strips of satinised metal woven together to form a basket weave design. This technique gives this vanity case a finish which renders the metal to look smooth and shiny like satin. The copper hue makes this vanity even more enchanting. This is an ideal copper wedding (7th anniversary) gift. This vintage vanity set is suitable for use with loose face powder.
The whole item is in good condition and has not been used to store powder. All clasps and hinges and the strap handle are in perfect working order. This carryall has a good mirror which gives an accurate reflection. There are a few age marks on the mirror which do not detract at all. The powder well contains the original unused fabric puff and the original Lucite faux tortoise shell comb which is wrapped in the original felt cover which has a compartment for tissues. The comb, felt cover and puff are in excellent condition. The base is decorated with an engine turned design of vertical lines. Measures 10 cm x 7.5 cm. Weighs 182.6 grams.
