Delightful Unused Vintage Stratton Compact Lipstick Set Decorated With Swans 1950s
A delightful unused Stratton brand vanity set which is embellished with one of the maker's most well known bird scenes.

Both the powder compact and lipstick holder are decorated with lustrous cobalt blue enamel. Two swans are shown in fine detail on a reed bed. There isn't any loss of design or fading. The mirror gives a good and accurate reflection. Back in the day these sets were very expensive and given on special occasions. For example a young lady's twenty-first birthday.
The Stratton Convertible compact is fitted with the original puff, sifter, instruction leaflet, paper cushion and black felt pouch. The mirror bezel is signed Stratton MADE IN ENGLAND. Measures 3 inches diameter. Weighs 94.1 grams.
This compact is ideal for use with all loose foundation and pressed foundation pans measuring 59 - 67mm diameter.
